This summer I was sitting on a touristy kind of beach. Lots of pictures of happy fun times. Memories of cold Maine summers at the beach. And not one old camera in sight. All cell phone pictures. Coincidentally, I have been sorting through what feels like a zillion paper photographs left in my lap because they have all died. A lot of the pictures are loose in boxes. Skripscraping together like weighted brown oak leaves, rustling there together portraying themselves as talismans of life. Real because the paper says so. Real because they have captured vibrations of a time and a place. For my Fathers photos, a time before hiv, my mothers, a time before Larry. I have thought of these pictures out in the world alone with noone to tell the tale. A Polaroid on a table, don't you slow down to look, make up a little pile of decisions about the story the picture shows. I do. That's a voyeuristic journey and I don't believe that I am alone in that.
And so we gaslight ourselves with these cell phone pictures, imagery held but not captured. If a beach chair tips over and no one takes a picture did it happen? If Gramma takes a picture and holds in in her phone, and then she dies and the phone goes with her, then the memories are vibrational figments we forget and misremember anyway.

This means you can use the camera on your phone or tablet and superimpose any piece of my art onto any wall you'd like inside of your home or business. This is a super way to see exactly how a piece looks with your own decor. I love this feature because it takes all of the guesswork out of incorporating new art in your home or office.
Look for the "Live Preview AR" button when viewing any piece of art on this website! Isn't that exciting!?
